Good morning! 3 things to know for Sunday, September 6

1. If you don’t usually check our Sports page, you should today. Check out John Clark’s account of the issues he encountered while covering Friday’s East Bladen at St. Paul’s football game. It’s a good read, and should bring a chuckle or two, especially if you know John.

2. Nineteen years ago today we were feeling the wrath of Hurricane Fran. The storm came ashore at 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 5, 1996, at Cape Fear. By Sept. 6, Fran was moving over White Lake. The National Weather Service says Fran was the worst storm to strike southeastern North Carolina since Hurricane Hazel in 1954.

3. Bladen Online now has 3,375 Facebook likes, 851 Twitter followers and 173 Instagram followers. Hope to see you there. We won’t bite. Promise. It’s facebook.com/BladenOnline, @BladenOnline for Twitter, and instagram.com/bladenonline. See you there.
