A strong cold front could produce strong thunderstorms and damaging winds as it moves across the area later this evening, according to the National Weather Service office in Wilmington.
“Scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected. Locally damaging winds and an isolated tornado are possible,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Josh Weiss.
