Saw a neat story related to an 89 year old lady who suffers from dementia, the former cheerleader, was paid a visit by a group of cheerleaders from a Belmont, NC area high school….She was so happy…Good deeds often bring big smiles…..
And did you see the WRAL feature ‘Tar Heel Traveler’ featuring Milton Smith of Fayetteville? Milton is an accomplished piano player/arranger and much more. He is originally from the Bladenboro area….near Oak Grove FWB Church off NC 242. Milton shared about being recruited by the Stamps Quartet to play the piano for the group. The Stamps, in addition to gospel singers, were the ‘back up’ musicians for Elvis at the time of his death…Great interview…Milton played at his funeral…but never had the opportunity to meet the ‘King.”
