Thoughts While ShavingAs you go about your daily rituals, keep an eye on Hurricane Joaquin…..As I think about hurricanes, I am reminded of Hurricane Hazel in 1954…Communication was nothing to compare with what we have today….

We were told someone at Whiteville school called Bladenboro school to inform about the storm and students were sent home….in the storm…It was a nightmare, and continued for several hours.

Be safe….Schedules for outdoor activities are being affected….

West Bladen at Wallace-Rose Hill high school football game has been re-scheduled for tonight (Thursday). The East Bladen-Clinton game is still set for Friday night….

Bladen County Emergency folks….law enforcement, EMS, Fire folks…. have an “Emergency at the Bases” softball tournament that has been re-scheduled for Saturday at the County Park on US 701 S….No word yet, but may….could be….rescheduled…No word yet….

Keep Barry White, Elizabethtown businessman, in your prayers today. He was involved in a single vehicle accident in Robeson County a week ago….Today, he undergoes another surgery in Durham, this one is expected to last 8 hours…The primary damage is to his legs…….

Being positive in a negative situation is not naïve….It’s leadership.

You’ve got 86,400 seconds today. Use some of that time TO SMILE….

There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.

Every day is a second chance.

I was reminded that my blood type is BE POSITIVE.
