Brrrrr cold today….Our previous low was 24…..at 7:15 a.m. the National Weather Service reported 21 degrees at the Curtis Brown airport in Elizabethtown…and our high for the day is expected to be around 32 degrees…plus or minus one or two degrees with northwest winds 14 to 22 mph and gusts as high as 34 …The wind chill factor in the single digits part of the day….and the outlook is for conditions to worsen on Monday…..

The fundraiser for the Marvin and Marsha Burney appeared to be a success….Thought I was at Dr. Bridgers office….many of his staff…and others…were involved….
It is times like these that we think about the less fortunate…If you have clothing items to share with those “without” you can do it through the Bladen Crisis Center….The Crisis Center has support from many churches and individuals in the area and works closely with DSS and they know who is in need and who uses occasions such as these to enhance their own situation….as my mom would say, “feather their own nest.” Support the Crisis Center….and let them help others…
