Whiteville native Brooks Baldwin made his 1st start in the baseball big leagues Friday night … 1st at bat … a single to right field vs. the Kansas City Royals … He was added to the big league roster earlier in the day after a few days on the Charlotte roster … He plays in the infield … The ‘high school Wolfpacker’ played college ball at UNC-W … Unfortunately, the White Sox lost the game, 7-1. The two teams meet again, 7:30 p.m. today. Baldwin’s minor league stats this season … he was batting .324, with 29 doubles, 8 home runs, 51 RBIs and had scored 40 runs before being called up…
