Mother’s Day … A salute to all mothers…
Good thoughts about my mom who passed away many years ago … She was a good human being…
Yesterday’s high temp was 73 degrees … kinda cool after a few days in the upper 80s and low 90s…
Forecast for today (Church Day) … Sunny with a high near 81, windy, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Mostly clear tonight, low around 54. Monday … Mostly sunny with a high near 83.
Next best chance of rain is 40% Monday night, 100% Tuesday … 70% Tuesday night, Wednesday and Wednesday night.
One more thought about Mother’s Day … We would usually visit both granny’s on or near Mother’s Day … One granny had palsy, or something, that caused her to kinda drag a leg, while her arm and hand was shaking … Other granny could meet us on the porch with her bonnet on … But nothing kept them from producing a delicious homemade meal … and often homemade cookies … delicious homemade cookies … only about 60-70 or more years ago.
Sometimes in a mule and wagon, later in a ’35 model Ford.
We, my bride and I, along with other family and friends … enjoyed time together yesterday at White Lake … making memories…
Hope all can pause, reflect as we move forward, healthy and blessed … summertime is straight ahead…
