thoughts while shavingChecking weather … Yesterday’s high temp was 89 degrees at the local weather station, 2/100th of an inch of rain over the past 24 hours … Windy, wet and messy, not that far away … mostly north of us … late yesterday…

Improving is a good way to describe weather for the next week or so…

Today … A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. …. Mostly sunny with a high near 90 and a 30% chance of rain…

Tonight … Mostly clear, low around 65. Wednesday, sunny, with a high near 88 … Wednesday night, mostly clear, low around 62…

Thursday thru Monday … Mostly clear … highs in the low to mid 80s … Lows in the upper 50s and low 60s … no mention of rain…

Crops looking good…

This is the last week of May 2024 … June arrives Saturday…

Huge crowd at White Lake over Memorial Day holiday weekend … appeared to be mostly orderly … Clarkton area residents celebrated Memorial Day with a parade…

Bladen County school calendar indicates graduation ceremonies scheduled for Friday June 7. 10 a.m. for East Bladen High and 3 p.m., same day, for West Bladen… Both events will be held at Elizabethtown Middle School.

Guess the best way to describe this week … for most … back to a normal routine…

Bible School, FFA camp, vacation, just ahead…

Remember how excited you were as a high school senior … whenever for you?

“My lateness is a reminder that my life is a journey, not a destination.”

“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” Walt Disney

“If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” Mark Twain
