3. N.C. Hunter Education Course: Feb. 25, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Clarkton Fire Department, 205 Peach Street. The course meets the hunter education requirement for all first-time hunting license buyers in North Carolina. Course is free. Pre-registration opens Jan. 23 at 3 p.m. and is required.
