National Scoliosis Awareness Month serves as a unifying force, bringing together diverse stakeholders within the scoliosis community. We are pleased to announce five reasons to stand behind the campaign in support of National Scoliosis Awareness Month.

National Scoliosis Awareness Month Campaign Objectives:

1. Highlighting the importance of early detection and the effectiveness of bracing as an early, non-operative care method.

2. Encouraging every state, district, and commonwealth to officially proclaim their observance of National Scoliosis Awareness Month during June.

3. Increasing public awareness of scoliosis and related spinal conditions through educational and advocacy campaigns, local activities, and community events throughout June and beyond.

4. Uniting scoliosis patients, families, physicians, and clinicians in a collaborative partnership that advocates for patient care, screening, privacy, and protection.

5. Establishing networks of community collaborations and alliances to sustain and expand the campaign’s impact.

National Scoliosis Awareness Month also allows scoliosis patients, families, and caregivers to share their stories, experiences, and challenges. By amplifying their voices, the campaign helps raise awareness about scoliosis’s physical, emotional, and psychological impact on individuals and their loved ones. It encourages empathy, understanding, and support in the broader community.

In summary, National Scoliosis Awareness Month, observed annually in June, is crucial in highlighting the importance of public education, early detection, and awareness regarding scoliosis. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this condition and pave the way for early intervention and improved outcomes.
