Spread the love

It’s salty, plain, roasted, green and boiled. It’s always the star of our show, better known to us as Bladen County’s finest gem, “ Peanuts.”  We celebrate the peanut the third Saturday of September each year.  This year’s date is September 16th, 2017. The festival is held in Dublin, N.C, also known as the Peanut Capital of the South. It is the home of Houston’s Peanuts, that is known and whose peanuts are shipped worldwide.

The festival kicks off at 10 a.m. with a parade. Entry for parade is free, except for Queens & Kings. Cost to enter: 1 Queen in auto $25, 2 to 3 Queens in auto $40 or 3 Queens plus in an auto, boat or float is $50. If fees are not paid by Sept. 8th cost will be $75 the day of the parade.
