CHARLOTTE – Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) issued this statement after the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality issued a key permit for the Atlantic Coast Pipeline:
“Today’s announcement means new jobs. For years, the economy of western North Carolina has benefited from a reliable supply of natural gas while eastern North Carolina has been left behind. The Atlantic Coast Pipeline will become a major tool for recruiting new businesses to Robeson and Cumberland counties.”
