A fundraiser is planned for liver transplant survivor Josh Baker for Friday, August 31, at Singletary United Methodist Church in Dublin beginning at 10 a.m.
The fundraiser will consist of chicken and rice plates and plates will cost $6 each. All funds raised will go to Josh Baker to assist him with medical expenses.
Baker was diagnosed with a genetic disorder that affected his liver. Following a successful liver transplant, Baker is currently having to stay near Duke Hospital during his recovery period.

The fundraiser is a joint effort of the congregations of Bluefield UMC, Clarkton UMC and Singletary UMC.
