Last week, Valeria Peacock McKoy, Interim Director of Bladen County Board of Elections said early voting was off to a busy start. Ms. McKoy,  Gina P. Ward, Deputy Director along with  Christopher L. Williams, Elections Technician have been seen at the elections office working hard to insure the election runs smoothly for Bladen County.

Ms. McKoy announced the second absentee meeting agenda. The meeting will be held by the Bladen County Board of Elections on April 30, 2019 at 2 p.m.

The agenda is as follows according to the announcement:

1. Call to Order
2. Invocation
3. Agenda Approval
4. Individuals wishing to address the Board
5. Action Items
A. Processing of Absentee Ballots
B. Assignment of Poll Workers
6. Director’s Updates
A. Copy of letter sent to Kim Strach
B. Updated contact information on the Board
C. Contact information for the County Party Chairs and Attorney
D. Listing of precinct contact persons and rents paid for precincts.
E. Notice on law books
F. Absentee Witness Certification (Numbered Memo 2019-02)
G. Update on One-Stop
7. Adjournment

One stop early voting began on Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 for the new election. The elections consists of the 9th Congressional District Primary, the Bladen County General Election is held for the Commissioner District 3 and Bladen Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor.
