Appalachian State 31 – UAB 17 in the New Orleans Bowl late last night. If you missed it, the Mountaineers scored 21 points in the 3rd quarter. ASU completed a great season, 13-1, ranked #20 in last weeks polls.
North Carolina A&T defeated Alcorn State in the Celebration Bowl, 64-44. Looks more like a basketball score.

In basketball, UNC 74 – UCLA 64 … Remember when the Bruins were the top ranked college team … for several years. Dean Smith matching coaching skills with John Wooden, the Wizard of Westwood. UNC also enjoyed the #1 spot on numerous occasions.
Seems I am attending more funerals than usual … may have to do with growing older.
I am looking forward to Christmas … spending time with family … bet my younger family is tired of hearing about how it was years ago … Christmas is special, we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we enjoy delicious food, share gifts and learn more about what is going on with the younger generation.
Some will be hitting the roads early, be safe…
