As of Tuesday afternoon, March 31, 2020 no suspects have been named in the vandalizim case, according to Kenneth Register. Anyone with information is asked to contact Global Realty at 910-910-862-4500.

Friday, March 27, 2020, came with reports of a second case of vandalism in the area for one property owner. Ken Register with Global Realty reported his client’s property located at 420 Mercer Mill Road in Elizabethtown was vandalized for the second time.

“We think it may be juveniles out of school and getting mischievous,” Register stated.

This time the vandals not only damaged the AssistedCare signage again, they busted the glass out of one of the doors and may have broken in, according to the report. The speculations of those on the scene are maybe the criminals were looking for drugs or medical masks since the facility was once a health care establishment.

The Elizabethtown Police Department Detective Sgt. Thomas Davis said the owner of the property had a brick that may have been used to damage the facility.

“I have been trained to extract evidence from bricks, rocks, and other items like that,” Sgt. Davis stated.

At this time the department is still gathering information and evidence for the report. It may be a supplemental report to the first report taken, Davis explained, but we are working on the case.

The property owner is offering a $100 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) involved in the destruction of the property. If anyone has information about the damaged property, please call Global Realty at 910-862-4500.
