Bladen County is wet … not sure of rainfall, but lots. … Checked info from National Weather Service at the nearby airport … and in my backyard over the 24 hour period from 5 a.m. Monday to same time today … somewhere between (rounding it off) 2.5 to over 4 inches … corn, beans and peanuts looking good, not sure they need any more rain in the immediate future … but more is on the way…

Forecast is for 40% to 80% chance of rain through Saturday night. … Today, showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 70, north wind 9 to 11 mph with gusts as high as 17 mph. 80% chance of rain and new rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible … ’bout the same tonight.

I enjoy riding in the rain … so, yesterday afternoon, took another tour of Bladen … fields are flooded…

Bladen County library is now operating on a normal schedule … Senior Center remains closed, per guidance from the state…

Gets ‘kinda’ lonely at the top of government when one group is raising ‘cane’ wanting everything to return to normal, health officials are pointing out the number of sick folks related to the virus continues to increase … and we are in the midst of a political campaign…

Guess, when compared to all the other ‘confusion’ ongoing, just another day at the office…

Good to hear another new industry is coming to Bladen … announcement from the Governor’s office yesterday … Anthem advertising company expanding and consolidating their business in the Elizabethtown Industrial Park … creating another 17 new jobs…

Without rain nothing grows. We must learn to embrace the storms in our life.

I like storms, they let me know that even the sky screams sometimes.

I like people who smile when it’s raining.
