Today is National Chili Day, the fourth Thursday in February. The day is made to celebrate one of America’s most popular wintertime foods.
According to National Day Calendar.com, chili is also known as chili con carne, which means chili with meat.
Nicole and Charlotte with BladenOnline celebrate the day in the kitchen. The duo made a pot of homemade chili, cornbread, and watergate salad.
Nicole hails Natasha’s Kitchen with the chili recipe and the cornbread and watergate salad instructions came from the Past and Present White’s Creek Baptist Church Cookbook published in 1995.
White’s Creek Baptist Church is a local church located in Clarkton, N.C. on Mercer Mill Road.
