Mrs. Ilka McElveen, a local business owner and author announced the publication of Pathways to Her Rise. Mrs. McElveen is a co-author of the book.
The book features personal stories and practical advice from ten women pursuing their dreams. Marsha Guerrier presents the book and launched this month.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the book signing and book club scheduled for Thursday, March 25, has been rescheduled. Mrs. McElveen will be at the BladenOnline office located at 1110 S. Poplar Street in Elizabethtown on Thursday, April 1, 2021, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. for a book signing. COVID-19 safety precautions will be in effect, and everyone planning on attending is asked to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
BladenOnline will also start a book club on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
The club will begin by reading the book Pathways to Her Rise. The club will meet on the last Thursday of every month from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the BladenOnline office. Space is limited due to COVID-19 safety. Anyone interested in joining the club, please email your confirmation of attendance by emailing gm@bladenonline.com.
