Open Door Ministries in Elizabethtown is hosting a Thanksgiving lunch for the community on Thanksgiving day, Thursday, November 25th. The lunch will be in-house only — no takeout. Lunch will be served at no charge.
Pastor Randy Andrews says that they will offer a full Thanksgiving meal for those who are in need on Thanksgiving. He added, “A lot of people don’t have others to spend time with, so we want to give people family and fellowship.”
He shared that Open Door Ministries tries to help others on Thanksgiving every year, and in the past it has often been with other churches in the area, offering meal deliveries, take out, and more. He added that the church staff determined that an in-house Thanksgiving lunch would be best this year, due to COVID-19.
Open Door Ministries has Sunday morning and Wednesday night services every week.
Thanksgiving Lunch at Open Door Ministries will begin at 11:30 a.m. The event will be located at 2704 East Broad Street in Elizabethtown.
