Spread the love

Our family would like to give a huge heartfelt thank you to all persons who responded to the fire that burned our property a week ago today. To Dublin, Tar Heel, Elizabethtown, Tobermory, Bladenboro, and East Howellsville Fire Departments we appreciate your quick response and helping to keep this out of control fire from doing more damage than it already had done. The 911 dispatchers went out of their way to make sure they sent everyone they could and followed up with calls to make sure all were ok. Duplin County dispatched three planes and a helicopter to dump water from the air to help control this fire as well. Bladen County Emergency Management was here making sure all were safe. The NC Forestry Service sent manpower along with bulldozers and fire plows. The Forestry Service is still with us a week later, day and night. The fire is still burning underground and they are doing all they can to contain it. To everyone who came and just showed up to help us in any way they could, especially with our horses, we thank you and appreciate you all so much. Pete Batton, the Dublin Fire District is so fortunate to have you as our Chief of the Dublin Fire Department. You are still out here with us as well, making sure all is ok.
Sincerely,
Bobbie & Donnie Todd & Family
