Robert Hester, Founder of BladenOnline.comA reminder … Change to Daylight Saving time Sunday morning … Spring forward, 1 hour…

Our forecast was for some rain over the previous 24 to 36 hours, barely a tenth of an inch recorded at the NWS site at the Curtis Brown Airport … Still in the forecast over the next couple of days…

Today, a 40% chance of rain after 3 p.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with a high near 64. More showers likely tonight, thunderstorm possible after 10 p.m., with a low near 57 and windy, gusts as high as 21 mph. Saturday, showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between noon and 1 p.m. Some of the storms could be severe. Temp dropping to around 44 by 5 p.m. Breezy, with a south wind 20 to 22 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could be as high as 33 mph and a 90% chance or rain. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible…

Low Saturday night near 25 and wind gusts as high as 25 mph … Hold on to your hat or bonnet … Anyone still wear bonnets?

I remember my granny Cain wearing one anytime she was outside … Not likely to see them at all today.

Looking ahead … St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th. Springtime begins Sunday, March 20.
