The Clarkton Beautification Committee will have its annual BBQ lunch fundraiser on Friday, April 29 at the historic Clarkton Town Depot at the corner of Elm and Hester Street.

Meals will be available from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and include a BBQ plate with beverage and sides for $10.

The organization opted to have its fundraiser lunch on Friday this year to accommodate in-town business folks, retail shoppers and visitors. It had been held on Saturday in past years.

The Depot, which also server as Town Hall, is listed on the U.S. Register of Historic Places. It was built by Seaboard Air Line Railroad in 1915 as a passenger and freight station.

The Clarkton Beautification Committee is an organization that raises money to beautify the town via gardening projects, parks and more.
