Today… Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 3 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87… 60% chance of precipitation. Tonight, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a 30% chance of rain.

Thursday, mostly sunny, with a high near 84 and a northerly wind with gusts as high as 17 mph. High temps throughout the weekend in the low to mid-80s… no mention of 90 degrees…

The late report indicates that a difference of opinions in the NC House and Senate over progress on the approval of the lottery may be holding up the approval of the new state budget.

Another tidbit of information related to the state of North Carolina… July 1, 2022… population 10,698,973, a slight increase over the previous year. The same news release indicated over 85% of residences had access to broadband… hopefully, it will go higher as more fiber is placed in the ground in Bladen and across the state…
