ROCKY POINT –Heide Trask defeated East Bladen 3-0 Tuesday night in Waccamaw Conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-20, 25-11 and 25-20.
Junior Miriam DeVane pounded in 6 attacks, 5 kills, 3 blocks and 3 aces to lead the East attack. Senior Dyiamon Robinson slammed in 3 attacks, 3 kills, an ace and a block. Junior Mollie Tolar knocked in 5 attacks, 2 kills and 2 aces.
Junior Iveonna “NeNe” Ward drilled in 3 aces, a kill, 2 attacks and had a dig. Junior Mary Frances Sutton hammered in 4 attacks and 3 kills. Senior Karly Ross came up with 7 digs. Senior Molly Evans dished out 5 assists and had an attack. Junior Martha Simmons had 2 attacks.
The Lady Eagles, now 1-2 in league play and 3-7 overall, will travel to Clinton Wednesday night.
