The weather has been the big story for the past 3 or 4 days…and will be again today…Breezy and more rain is the forecast in a nutshell…Chance of rain is 70% for our area today with winds out of the northeast 18 to 21 mph. The chance of rain increases to 80% tonight and tomorrow with winds in the 20 mph range…
When will it all clear out?…Hopefully by midday Tuesday….
East Bladen faced a wet football field last night and a very tough football team….Clinton 49, East Bladen 19. A Monday night game and some injuries attributed to the loss…but the biggest obstacle for the Eagles was a very good Darkhorse team, still simmering after a recent loss to Hoggard.
Look ahead….
Bladen County Commissioners and Elizabethtown City Council meet in regular session Monday. Commissioner meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Courthouse and City Council meets at 12 noon for a work session and at 7 p.m. in regular session at Town Hall. All meetings are open to the public.
Four County EMC’s Annual Meeting is set for Elizabethtown Middle School Monday evening as well….Members will be treated to food beginning at 5 p.m.. The program begins at 7 p.m. with entertainment featuring the Dixie Melody Boys, an update on the coop and door prizes, including a used pickup truck. All Four County EMC members are encouraged to attend.
