Junior Tyshii Scarborough sparked a fourth quarter rally that carried Harrells Christian Academy to their fourth straight win 44-36 at Trinity Christian in Fayetteville Friday night.

Trinity had taken a 36-28 lead into the final period, before Tyshii Scarborough intercepted a Trinity pass and raced 70 yards for a return touchdown. Marcus Scarborough powered into the end zone for the 2-point conversion that tied the game 36-36.

Later in the period Tyshii Scarborough hauled in a 67-yard touchdown pass from junior quarterback Gray Fussell that put Harrells on top. Fussell threw a 2-point conversion pass to Marcus Scarborough that padded the lead to 44-36.

Marcus Scarborough rushed 24 times for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Harrells offense. Senior Marcellos Allison carried 7 times for 62 yards and a touchdown for the winners.

Fussell completed 3 of 6 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown. Tyshii Scarborough caught 2 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown. Teammate Kevin Carney ran for 29 yards and caught a pass for 10 more yards.

Allison dashed 38 yards for a Harrells first quarter touchdown, but Trinity led 16-6 at the quarter break and tacked on another score for a 22-6 lead.

Marcus Scarborough ran 6 yards for a Harrells touchdown, and Carney caught a conversion pass from Fussell that trimmed the margin to 22-14, but Trinity stretched the lead back to 28-12.

Marcus Scarborough answered for Harrells with a 10-yard touchdown run, then carried into the end zone for the 2-point conversion that narrowed the gap to 28-22 at halftime.

Senior Jake Register galloped 36 yards for a Harrells touchdown that tied the game 28-28 in the third period. Trinity went back on top 36-28 later in the quarter.

Harrells improves to 6-4 overall and will host Raleigh Ravenscroft Academy Friday in a game that will decide first place in the Big East Conference standings.
