Good morning! 3 things to know for Sunday, October 25
1. Remember the days and days and days of rain. It was 12 straight days to be exact (Sept. 25-Oct. 6) and more than 10 inches. Well, things have changed. It’s now 14 consecutive days without any measurable rainfall. Looks like it may be Tuesday or Wednesday before some showers.
2. Here’s something to consider to put on your calendar. Local historian and Bladen Community College instructor Cliff Tyndall will share chilling tales about local ghosts and haunts on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the school’s library. The infamous Maco Light and the terrorizing Hitchhiker are just a sampling of the mysteries to be discussed.
3. OK, kids, one thing to learn in becoming an adult is to realize when a “dare” is not a good thing to take. Obviously, a 41-year-old “man” in Annapolis, Maryland, hasn’t quite figured it out. Police say Colby Johnson was charged with disturbing the peace after setting off a stink bomb in a convenience store. People in the store at the time were seen gasping for air. Johnson told The Capital newspaper that “it was kind of a dare.”
