InvisibleWounds-bannerPlease join us for the Invisible Wounds of War project exhibit opening reception at UNCW Randall Library on November 5, 2015 6:00 – 8:00pm. Invisible Wounds of War is a project that explores the psychological, spiritual and moral injuries of war.

The exhibit will include writing by Veterans participating in the project workshop as well as writing that was submitted anonymously online. It also includes self-portraits designed by the Veterans and made in collaboration with Jen Johnson. The work illustrates the pain and struggle of the invisible wounds from war but also focuses on transforming the Veterans narrative to one that ends with hope and healing. The reception is free an open to the public.

Invisible Wounds of War made possible by funding from the North Carolina Humanities Council, a statewide nonprofit and affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, Carolina Case Management & Rehabilitation Services, Inc. and private donations. The project is co-directed by Jen Johnson and Kyle Horton.

The exhibit will be up throughout the month of November. www.invisiblewoundsnc.com
