Good morning! 3 things to know for Sunday, November 29

1. The Elizabethtown Christmas Parade is set for 3 p.m. today in downtown Elizabethtown. Santa Claus, appropriately, is the grand marshal. Some of the downtown merchants will be open during and after the parade to help you fill your Christmas gift list.

2. The Harmony Hall Plantation Village will open to the public from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. today. There will be a cannon demonstration, guided and self-guided tours of the house and buildings, a walk to the Cape Fear River and the General Store will be open. The historic site is located between Tar Heel and White Oak on River Road.

3. Note to self: Don’t claim to be sleepwalking after being caught breaking into a neighbor’s house. A Naples, Florida, man tried that alibi, but it didn’t work. The man testified he accidentally mixed medications before the burglary, causing him to lose all memory of a five-hour period. He was sentenced to five years in prison.

And now you know.
