Thoughts While ShavingEast Bladen Eagle baseball team added another conference victory last night, downing Clinton 8-5.  The Eagles, loaded with underclassmen, are now 10-0 in Four County play and 14-3 overall.

West Bladen, hopeful of a good season, has had numerous injuries and other mishaps and are strugglin’.  They are 4-5 in conference play and 5-12 overall.   Each of the Bladen teams have about 5 games remaining.

West Bladen softball and East Bladen’s soccer teams are also enjoying much success in the win-loss column.

All of the spring teams worth the price of admission, and deserve support.

Thought of another comment by U.S. Rep. Walter Jones made on a recent visit to his office.  Greed is one of our biggest problems as a nation.  Think about that.

Have you thought about all the Senators running for President and who is supporting them, financially?  Me and you continue to pay their $172,000 plus salary and most have not been in there office in months.  Some have returned after seeing their dream to become president end.  At least 3 governors began the process, only one remains.  Several millions of dollars received in salaries and nothing to show for it.  Think your boss, or company would continue to financially support you if you were absent for a year or more?

Saw where a candidate for the US Senate, now a House member, is attempting to pass the Stop Act.  Would ban members of Congress from asking people for money.  Rep. Jolly (R-Florida) says new members of Congress, both parties, spend 30 hours weekly in a call center attempting to raise money for the parties.  Rep. Jolly is one of several candidates seeking the seat being vacated by Senator Marco Rubio (R).

In 1977, members of the Dublin Green Hornets baseball team included:  Dennie Hester, Lori Collins, C. L. Carter, Timmy Taylor, Ricky Smith, Keith Butler, Rocky Norris, Barbara Sue Johnson, Denine Hancock, Hope McMillan, Robert McDaniel, Terrace Cromb, Tommy Dove, and Timmy Taylor.  Coaches were Stuart McDaniel and Kent Bordeaux.

A fine is a tax for doing wrong.  A tax is a fine for doing well.

Republicans and Democrats are like divorced parents who care more about getting kids to hate the other one than they are their well being.

I remember when Halloween was the scariest night of the year.  Now, it’s Election night.
