Thoughts While ShavingWe continue to add words and terms to our vocabulary, like LGBT, ISIS, drag queen, to mention a few.  Maybe it’s just me, but words not used by most locals a few years ago.

Still learning more about the shootings at an Orlando, Florida Gay Bar early Sunday morning.  Too many sad, senseless stories.

My mom thought anything that occurred after midnight was bad, because her children, regardless of their age, should be home before then.  Mom had lots of ‘common sense’. Must admit I questioned many of her “strange” thoughts and ideas as I was growing up.

Another hot day, plan accordingly.

Construction continues on the new Bladen County Detention Center.  It is located across from the Bladen County Ag Center.  Much needed, very expensive and replaces a jail built in 1950’s and 60’s.
