DURHAM, NC – All three FEMA/North Carolina Emergency Management disaster recovery centers will be closed Saturday due to this weekend’s predicted winter storm.
The centers will reopen at 9 a.m. Monday, or as soon as conditions allow.
Disaster recovery centers are located at:
Normal operating hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. All centers are closed on Sunday. During this closure you may call the FEMA Helpline with any questions at 800-621-3362 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. daily.
The Wayne County Disaster Recovery Center in Goldsboro closes permanently at 6 p.m. Friday.
If you need to register with FEMA before the Jan. 9 deadline, you can still do so:
- Online at DisasterAssistance.gov.
- Call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 for voice, 711 and Video Relay Service. If you are deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech disability and use a TTY, call 800-462-7585.
- Download the FEMA Mobile App and apply.
