Accounting Clerk/Office Assistant Position–Campbell Oil Company

Campbell Oil Company is a family owned business which has been in business over 65 years. We are an entrepreneurial company comprised of many segments including wholesale fuel, lubricants, aviation fuel, convenience stores and food service (Arby’s, Little Caesars, Dairy Queen).

JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTING CLERK/OFFICE ASSISTANT

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Verify store bank deposits daily, notifying supervisors immediately of discrepancy, and making related corrections to general ledger.
*Check in store paperwork, sort and file appropriately.
*Create and post accounts receivable bank deposits daily, monitor customer balances weekly, follow up with delinquent customers and maintain accounts receivable files.
*Print and distribute customer statements monthly.
*Process inter-company fuel bills of lading daily and key in manual fuel entries as needed.
*Download POS detail transactions daily and reconcile to retail entry, research POS chargeback requests as required, and download POS summary statements monthly.
*Verify coupons to store entry, sort by denomination and type, remit to coupon redemption center monthly, and post related journal entry.
*Post daily food service transactions into the retail software system and reconcile to source data.
*Calculate and remit royalty payments for franchises.
*Provide clerical support for executive management and accounting department as needed.
*Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Minimum of Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration and/or equivalent work experience. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word required. Ability to learn proprietary accounting software required. Valid driver’s license required.
