The community is invited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Martin Luther King, Jr. legacy in the Bladen Community College auditorium on Wednesday, January 24, at 11 A.M.
BCC College and High School Programs Coordinator Cierra Griffin will discuss the historic events in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Selma during the turbulent era of racial unrest in the 1950s and 60s. Dr. King’s infamous ‘I have a dream’ speech’ will be recited by Archie Brown, Jr.
The event is free and open to the public.
