BCCRegistrationDUBLIN – Bladen Community College registered 470 curriculum students for the 2016 summer session, generating a robust student population for the semester. The community college summer experience provides valuable options for students.

“Our summer classes provide excellent opportunities for both university students who are home on summer break and students who are interested in getting ahead in their program of study,” remarks Barry Priest, Vice President for Student Services. “University students can complete transferrable required courses succinctly in the eight-weeks summer setting. The shorter term is an appealing way to facilitate a student’s college path and lighten the course load for the fall and spring semesters.”

Continuing education classes also offer ongoing courses in office administration, nursing, emergency medical training, welding, and other skilled career choices. “We are dedicated to providing year-round opportunities for adults in Bladen County to become highly-skilled graduates in workforce occupations,” states Sondra Guyton, Vice President for Workforce and Continuing Education. “Our summer schedule also offers a variety of classes for students who wish to acquire a hobby or get involved in a personal interest.”

Registration for fall semester is July 13 and 14, with classes beginning August 15. For class schedules and registration information, contact the college at 910-879-5500.
