Elizabethtown, NC – The community is coming together to support the family of Mr. Jaequon G. Matthews, a beloved East Bladen High School student who tragically passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023. In an effort to assist with the financial burden of his funeral expenses, the Matthews Family has organized a Benefit Sandwich Sale, which is taking place today.
The fundraiser, announced by Coach Wilson Bolden, aims to raise funds to cover the funeral costs for this promising teenager. The Benefit Sandwich Sale will commence at 10 am at 701 MLK Jr. Drive, specifically at Randy Shop. Attendees can contribute to the cause by donating in exchange for delicious food and refreshing drinks.
To make the donation process more convenient, those unable to attend the event in person can still show their support by contributing through the $toriw06 account. Additionally, individuals seeking further information or wishing to lend a helping hand can reach out to any member of the 701 Social Club or One Love Ministries.
