Bladen County has a new cleaners in town. Bladen Cleaners opened its doors at 203 B. South Poplar Street in Elizabethtown offering full cleaning services in June.

Wendy Barkley and her daughter Jean Hudson opened the cleaners this year after their family had to close the location due to damages from Hurricane Florence back in 2018.

The ladies said they are happy to be back in business. The unique thing about the Bladen Cleaners is all the work is done on site. “All work is done on the premises,” Hudson said.

The family owned business offers a dry laundry, wet laundry, wash and fold, alterations, drapes, bedspreads, rugs, gowns and many more services.

“You name it, we clean it,” Barkley stated. They have over 40 years of experience and offer services Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
