The public is invited to join faculty, staff and students to honor the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at a celebration held in Bladen Community College’s auditorium on Thursday, Jan. 24th, at 11 a.m. Community advocate and respected minister, Shawn Maynor, will be the keynote speaker. Rev. Maynor is the pastor of the Gospel Harvest Church of God in Christ in Bolton, North Carolina. He travels extensively conducting youth conferences and presenting at leadership workshops. Maynor serves his community with distinction as the Mayor of the Town of Bolton, North Carolina.
The MLK celebration is sponsored by the community college’s Diversity Committee which encourages campus and community participation in the event.
