Despite unforeseen and unprecedented challenges, this has been a year marked with great progress, new buildings, new programs and growth at Bladen Community College. The college released its annual review of the academic 2019-20 year and report to the community today in an email sent to community stakeholders, employees and students.

The College invites you to review the report through a link on their website that takes you to an interactive reading experience to learn more about its 2019-2020 accomplishments, successes, and growth through video, photos and more. A highlight of the report is a video message from the college president, Dr. Amanda Lee. You can view the 2020 Annual Report in its entirety at bladencc.edu/2020-annual-report on the college’s website.

Dr. Lee remarked that “During the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Bladen Community College remained committed to its mission and providing a safe environment for its students, faculty, and staff. Our dedicated faculty and staff rallied in support of our students – and each other – in pursuit of academic excellence and success in unprecedented times. She added “It is important that we share our successes and challenges with the community.“

A comprehensive report to the community is an annual practice of community colleges. Bladen Community College chose to fulfill its requirement with an electronic version that could be shared more widely with its constituents. The report also contains infographics depicting enrollment numbers, degrees and certificates obtained, top transfer destinations, financial information, student and employee awards as well as the college’s foundation accomplishments.

“As 2020 comes to a close, we hope students will start or continue their education journey in the new year, our spring semester 2021 – by staying close to home! We are the home for those who hope for more” said Dr. Lee.
