Spread the love

Today, February 4, 2022, is Wear Red Day to raise awareness for heart health. At Bladen County Department of Social Services, this day has a special meaning this year as they remember their beloved friend and co-worker, Jacqueline Hilburn.

On social media, Bladen County Health and Human Services Agency shared a photo of staff members wearing red and displaying a heart with their hands. The post is captioned, “Department of Social Services ‘Going Red for Women’  in remembrance of our ‘Jac.’  Thank You to the family of Jacquelyn Hilburn for the beautiful flowers. Remembering our friend and coworker today.”

BCDHHS added, “Bladen DHHS (Division of Aging, Health Department and Social Services) supports American Heart Association efforts to decrease heart disease among women. Losing one mom, sister, wife, daughter, friend is too much.”
