John D. Mercer, a Bladenboro mail carrier for 45 years, announced his retirement. Mr. Mercer, in his job with the U.S. Postal Service, drove over 2 million miles in his 45 years of service.
The 1965 class of Bladen Central High School in Elizabethtown celebrated their 20th year class reunion.
