• The White Lake Jaycees, with the assistance of the Elizabethtown High School Key Club, were sponsoring a car wash.
• Lynn Elmore of Bladenboro, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Elmore, was tapped for membership in the Peace College chapter of Alpha Pi Epsilon Junior College Honor Society.
• The White Lake Lady’s Golf Organization was making plans for the White Lake Lady’s Blueberry Golf Tournament to be held in May at White Lake Golf Course.
