The North Carolina Blueberry Festival announced that Miss Sharon Clark will be the 1971 Duchess of Blueberry. Miss Clark has been chosen as Playboy Magazine “Playmate of the Year.”
The Blueberry Festival Parade will feature 60 units with North Carolina Agriculture Commissioner Jim Graham as Grand Marshall.
Alice Miller was named 1971 4-H State Wildlife Project Winner. She will receive an expense paid trip to an event to be held in Chicago. Miss Miller is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Miller, Jr. of Route 1, Council.
Joe Chandler, Jr., Elizabethtown attorney, is the new Vice President of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Alumni Association.
