The Bladen County Library received a grant of $14,870 from the North Carolina State Library Board.

The East Bladen-Clarkton High game, scheduled to be played in Elizabethtown, was postponed due to
wet floors in the gym.
James Purdie, a graduate of Booker T. Washington school in Clarkton, was elected President of the Pre-Alumni Council at Barber-Scotia College.
