According to today’s COVID-19 Update released by Dr. Teresa Duncan, DNP, NE-C, CPHQ, the Bladen County Health and Human Service Director, the COVID-19 related deaths in the county has increased by three people since yesterday’s report. In the COVID-19 Update, as of Thursday, August 26, 2021, Bladen County has 4,597 positive COVID-19 cases, which brings Bladen’s positive cases up to 18.3%.
According to the report, there are 17 currently hospitalized related to COVID-19, with a total of 4,135 recovered from COVID-19. View Dr. Duncan’s full Update in the graphic below.
The health department continues to administer first, and second-shot COVID-19 vaccines for ages 12 and older by appointments or walk-ins. The Bladen County Health Department extended its hours each Tuesday until the end of September for COVID-19 vaccinations. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, the COVID-19 vaccines are available at the local health department from 9 am until 4 pm. Each Tuesday, the department will extend its hours for vaccines until 7 pm.
