Bladen County Public Library Director Kelsey Edwards said the Summer Reading program is a period of time during the summer when all three branches of the library encourage reading.

The programs will center around health and fitness and sports themes. There will also be snacks and a craft for children to make.

The Summer Reading schedule will be Mondays at Bridger Memorial Library at 3 p.m.; Tuesdays at the Clarkton Public Library at 3 p.m. and on Wednesdays at the Bladen County Public Library in Elizabethtown at 3 p.m.

Pre-registration is required to ensure there are enough snacks and materials for crafts. Please contact the branch you plan to register at for more details and to sign up.  Adult supervision is required at all programs.
