The Bladen County Public Library will be conducting their annual Summer Reading program beginning July 11 through August 3. The theme for this year’s Summer Reading program is “On Your Mark, Get Set, and Read.”
Bladen County Public Library Director Kelsey Edwards said the Summer Reading program is a period of time during the summer when all three branches of the library encourage reading.
“Depending on the week, there may be a guest speaker,” said Edwards.
The programs will center around health and fitness and sports themes. There will also be snacks and a craft for children to make.
The Summer Reading schedule will be Mondays at Bridger Memorial Library at 3 p.m.; Tuesdays at the Clarkton Public Library at 3 p.m. and on Wednesdays at the Bladen County Public Library in Elizabethtown at 3 p.m.
Pre-registration is required to ensure there are enough snacks and materials for crafts. Please contact the branch you plan to register at for more details and to sign up. Adult supervision is required at all programs.
To contact the Bridger Memorial Library call 910-863-4586; Clarkton Public Library at 910-647-3661 and the main branch at 910-862-6990.
