Elizabethtown, N.C—Bladen County Schools and the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office are excited to announce a new partnership aimed toward enriching the educational experience for students taking classes in the Bladen County Schools Career and Technical Education (CTE) Law and Justice Academy. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on Wednesday, November 1, 2024, solidifying the partnership.

This partnership will provide unique opportunities for Bladen County students, tapping into the expertise and real-world insights of our local law enforcement. Through the use or resources and supplies, guest speakers, field trips and training exercises, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office will help facilitate invaluable learning experiences.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Bladen County Sherriff’s Office in this educational endeavor. It’s an opportunity for our students to gain unprecedented access to the knowledge and experience of our dedicated law enforcement community. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to providing an education that prepares our students for the future,” says Bladen County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jason Atkinson.

“Bladen County Sheriff’s Office is looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate with Bladen County Schools CTE Law & Justice Academy,” shares Bladen County Sheriff Jim McVicker. “We are excited to share our expertise and assist in leading the young adults in our schools to possess
the skills needed to be prepared for their future in Law Enforcement.”
