Four people agreed to plea deals in Monday’s session of Bladen County Superior Court. Judge James M. Webb presided.

Those sentenced during the court’s session were:

** Kendrick Lamont Gillespie, 35: Pleaded guilty to felony possession of cocaine. Sentenced to 120 days in custody and credited with the 125 days he had served, placed on supervised probation and ordered to pay $585 restitution. In a court summary, in October 2015, a Bladenboro police officer was looking for Gillespie and spotted him on a scooter. Gillespie jumped off the scooter and ran. He also was noticed tossing something to the ground. It was tested and found to be cocaine.

** Keith Powell, 32: Pleaded guilty to attempted possession of firearm by a felon. Sentenced to 12 to 24 months in custody. In a court summary, in August 2015, a vehicle in which Powell was in was pulled over in Elizabethtown for a license plate light violation. The officer noted the smell of marijuana coming from the car. Powell, at first, gave the officer a false name. Upon a search of the vehicle, the officer found a handgun under the front passenger seat. Powell had been convicted in 2005 of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

** Clark Edward Schneider Jr.: Pleaded guilty to assault on a child under age 12. Sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and to register as a sex offender. In a court summary, on July 4, 2015 at White Lake’s Camp Clearwater, Schneider was among a group of vacationers going to watch fireworks. He was riding in a golf cart that was being driven by a 10-year-old girl with a young boy riding in the back. Schneider began grabbing the buttocks of the girl. She moved forward in an effort to get away, but he continued to do it.

** Anthony J. Ward, 29: Pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Sentenced to 18 months supervised probation. In a court summary, in January 2015, a vehicle that Ward was in was pulled over for failing to stop at an intersection. The officer noted the scent of marijuana and asked to search the vehicle, but was denied. A drug dog hit on the car, and officers found marijuana.
