Joining your local volunteer fire department offers a great sense of service to your community in addition to a great camaraderie amongst your fellow volunteers. Some of the best friendships have been cultivated around a firehouse dining table. Giving you the opportunity to work alongside people from all walks of life for a common greater cause is a feeling that cannot be described. Being a volunteer firefighter is not simply running towards the fire. You have opportunities to work with members of your community from the small children to the elderly and promote fire safety and prevention.
The Bladen County Firefighters Association invites any interested people to attend our meeting this week and let us answer any questions you may have about becoming a volunteer firefighter. We look forward to seeing you.
